Tanisha Lyons-Porter

Professional Organizer · Life Transitions · Estate & Family

Estate cleanouts where the siblings all want something different. A parent's home that needs to be cleared before the closing date. A caregiver who has been holding everyone else together and finally needs someone to hold the plan. A family in grief trying to figure out what to keep, what to let go, and how to move forward — all at the same time.

These are the calls I kept getting. And somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't just good at the organizing part. I was good at the room. Reading it. Slowing down inside it. Making sure everyone felt heard before anyone touched a single thing.

The strategy comes after that. It always does.

“I didn't go looking for this work. It kept finding me.

- Tanisha Lyons-Porter

I'm Tanisha Lyons-Porter, a professional organizer based in Los Angeles with over a decade of experience serving clients across Southern California and virtually nationwide. I'm a Howard University graduate, a NAPO board director, past president of the LA Chapter, and member of the National Association of Black Professional Organizers, and have been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Better Homes & Gardens, Real Simple, The Washington Post, Goop, and more than 30 other publications.

But what I'm most known for — by the clients who refer me & the ones who call me back — is bringing calm to complicated situations. I can hold a strategy when emotions are high, a deadline is real, and the people in the room all need something different.

No judgment. Just steady hands and a clear plan.

I am a wife, mom, grandmother, sister, and someone who genuinely believes your space can hold you through the hardest seasons — if you let it.

I'm based in Los Angeles and work with clients on-site and virtually across the United States. Whether you need someone in the room with you or steady support from a distance, I can meet you where you are.
